There will be an “Open House” on Saturday from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. with dinner included which will be free to everyone. We will have lots of activities and a special service to celebrate the legacy that has been left and look ahead to the legacy we want to leave. Badger Creek Ranch
Each camp starts out with basic horse care and handling. You will be assigned to a riding group with horses that match your skill level. As your abilities increase, so will the challenges. Wranglers are always there to help build your confidence and teach the skills for you to really enjoy riding and caring for horses. Come join us for a rewarding and unforgettable experience.
Wrangler-in-Training Week
Are you ready for the next step in your training? This week is set aside for those who are ready to be equipped to serve. Upon successful completion of WIT (Wrangler-In-Training) week, you will be assigned to another camp as a WIT. Training will include wrangler responsibilities, the care and handling of horses and track as well as spiritual and leadership instruction. Learn to share faith effectively and work with others patiently. During the week, there will also be an overnight trail ride.
Requirements: Attended 2 previous Sr. Horse Camps or approval by Ranch Manager.
3 Day Junior Camps
This camp is a great opportunity to get started with horses. Horse activities will be happening in the arena and round pens using obstacles and fun games. Trail rides will be at the instructors discretion and based on the skill levels of individual riders. This camp offers a fun filled time with swimming, games, crafts, chapel, and friends, intertwined with the horses.
5 Day Junior Camp
We have taken a good thing and made it longer and better! If the 3 day horse camp wasn't long enough, here is your chance to enjoy the horses, swimming, crafts, and games all week. There will also be a time to try out the 250' water slide in addition to having more opportunities to develop better riding skills.
Attending a 3 day horse camp is recommended prior to attending a 5 day horse camp, due to the extended amount of riding time we do.
Senior Camps (Ages 12-18)
Ready to Ride? In the arena trained instructors will help you improve your riding skills and encourage you to use them with games, obstacles and other challenges. You will work cattle in the arena and go out on different trail rides. Bible studies and chapel will encourage and challenge your walk with God. Come prepared for a great time!
